Open staircases

I do love a property with an open staircase. This home in Hatfield is a great example: on entering the front door you find yourself in a large hallway, with clear views through an informal seating area opening on to the back garden. 

The owner since 1978 opened it up like this - originally the area behind the stairs was a separate room. This was an interesting and quirky property throughout; I loved much of it. Currently on the market through Connells in Welwyn Garden City. Click here for details.
